This year’s conference offers 70+ presentations which may be used for National Registry and/or Colorado EMS Provider recertification. To help you plan and document continuing education (CE) received at this year’s conference, below is the document that is intended to provide suggestions based on the conference schedule.

Session Descriptions:

Keynote Address:
A Positive Wave of Change: A Case Study in Pediatric Drowning:
This lecture recounts the story of Elise Cerami and her tragic drowning on June 20, 2016. This case-based presentation is meant both to inspire and educate the EMS provider on key interventions in pediatric drowning.

Cadaver Labs
Abdominal: A visual tour through the abdominal cavity will review the external anatomy and internal structures including the stomach, liver, large and small intestines, and other solid and hollow organs
Thoracic: This session will review the anatomy of the thoracic cavity.
Brain Dissection: A visual tour through the cranial vault will review the external and internal structures of the skull and brain as well as parts of the spine and other nervous structures. During the session each participant will have a brain to dissect.
Heart Dissection: Dr. Jennifer Kang will teach you all about the inner workings of the heart, physi-ologically speaking. This hands-on dissection lab is guaranteed to be fun and low-stress.

We bring the simulation lab to you! With our state-of-the-art mobile training center, we can provide Pediatric simulation training scenarios in an ambulance or hospital setting. Our simulation scenarios provide training for the care of premature, newborn and pediatric patients.

EMS Escape Room:
Come and test your core knowledge by solving puzzles to see if you can escape the ambulance in time! You will have 60min to “Escape”! Feeling ambitious? Try out the ALS experienced provider room! Get together a group from your department, some EMS friends, or join a group as a solo provider!
